In this episode Dr John Butler and Axel Hombach are talking about how to combine surgery and hypnosis. That not only includes surgery in a operating theater, but also using hypnosis in dentistry. Not only during the procedure, but also preparing for the procedure.

The neurologist Dr. John Butler has at the time of the HypnoTalk already 30 years of practical experience with topics such as hypno-surgery, hypno-anesthesia, hypno-denistry, hypno-preparation, hypno-aftercare.

With this background Dr John Butler is among the best suited experts world wide.

Episode 11: How to select a client?

Download it: MP3 | AAC | OGG | OPUS

Perhaps you know that situation: a client calls, you talk briefly about the topic and you already have a gut feeling you should not work with that person. Or, differently, you offer the client an appointment during your working hours and the client says, I can't come then, I have to work then. I need an evening appointment because I cannot come during your working hours. Not all clients are equally suitable to work with.

Axel Hombach discusses with Dr John Butler how we can decide which clients we work with and who we should refer on.

Episode 10: Why are goals so important in hypnosis

Download it: MP3 | AAC | OGG | OPUS

So often we hear: The client has this or that problem. What often is left out, is, what the client wants to achieve.

Dr. John Butler and Axel Hombach talk about why it is so important the client sets goals for the sessions they works with us.

Episode 9: What is a Suggestion and how do we use it in Hypnosis?

Download it: MP3 | AAC | OGG | OPUS

From time to time some uncertainties arise in the hypnosis-community on what suggestions are. Some suggest that they are not so important, others have diverging perceptions.

I'm discussing in this episode 9 with the research neurologist Dr. John Butler of the HTI in London, what suggestions are, and why they are so essential to hypnosis. Why hypnosis is impossible without suggestions and how careful we need to be when we use them.
